During my recent New Year's stay at Sercotel Arenal Bilbao, I was truly captivated by its exceptional location in the heart of the Old Town, surrounded by the charming streets that define this vibrant city. The spacious room offered a wonderful view of the bustling main street and the picturesque FEVE station, and I found great joy in opening the windows wide to bask in the atmosphere of Bilbao each morning. The nearby Plaza Nueva, just a minute's walk away, was a delightful discovery, boasting an array of pintxo bars that satisfied my culinary inclinations beautifully. Though the bathroom showed signs of age, the overall comfort of the large bed ensured restful nights, allowing me to embrace the city's lively energy without disturbance. The friendly reception staff were genuinely helpful, guiding me towards hidden gems, including an incredible gelato shop, Gelati Gelati, where the dark chocolate flavor was a standout after a long day of exploration. This charming hotel seamlessly combined comfort and excellent service, making it a perfect choice for couples or fellow food enthusiasts looking to indulge in Bilbao's rich gastronomy.
